To be eligible for membership, a company must either have apprenticeship, craft, or technical training programs in active operation for which certificates or diplomas of completion are granted.
The AART is composed of representatives of a number of companies with well-established apprentice, craft, or technical training programs. These member companies represent the following: auto industry; engine manufacturing; heavy equipment manufacturing; shipbuilding; steel and aluminum companies; the imaging and photography industry; chemical industries; precision machine tool, die and mold making companies; electric power industry; service industries; and other specialty product manufacturing companies.
Membership of AART is granted to a company, not an individual. To apply for membership, a company representative must first attend an annual meeting as a guest. An application for membership must be submitted to the membership chairman. The membership will then vote on the application at the annual meeting.
